24/7 On-Site Staff Support
Our team is available around the clock to ensure a secure environment and to provide residents with guidance, support, and accountability when needed.
Life Skills Development
Our program emphasizes skill-building to support residents in managing daily tasks, budgeting, meal preparation, and personal goal-setting, promoting essential skill building for independent living.
Accredited Educational Support
Residents have access to accredited education, including tutoring and academic support, allowing them to complete or continue their education. We partner with local educational institutions and online platforms to provide flexibility and individualized learning opportunities.
Transportation to Outpatient Services
We provide transportation to and from Horizon Recovery’s Outpatient Clinic, a high-quality outpatient program specializing in adolescent care, ensuring that residents have access to essential services while staying focused on their personal goals and well-being.

Brian Carlisle

RN, FNP-C, MSLE / Administrator
Brian combines 15 years as a Fire Department Captain/Paramedic with his credentials as a Family Nurse Practitioner, bringing extensive experience treating adolescent mental health crises in emergency settings. As founder and administrator of Horizon Recovery, he leverages his Master’s in Business Leadership and Ethics to develop evidence-based teen treatment programs that blend clinical excellence with empathetic care. His firsthand understanding of mental health challenges among first responders drives his mission to create comprehensive support systems for struggling teens and their families.

Dr. Mona Amini

MD, MBA /Medical Director
Dr. Mona Amini brings her board certification in psychiatry and extensive C-suite leadership experience to her role as medical director, where she specializes in adolescent mental health and behavioral addiction treatment. Her prominent positions with the American Psychiatric Association and past presidency of the Arizona Psychiatric Society demonstrate her authority in advancing mental healthcare standards and advocacy. Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Amini’s co-founding of the AZ Psychiatric Society’s Women’s Group reflects her commitment to fostering inclusive, evidence-based mental health treatment while mentoring the next generation of psychiatric professionals.
